We are an organic farm in the Metchosin area near Victoria, on Vancouver Island, B.C. As one of the pioneers in the organic movement on Vancouver Island since 1990, we are always striving to advance the art of organic farming through research, education and participation in related organizations. Our farm and farming practices are based on the Island Organic Producers Association guidelines (not certified).
More than 25 varieties of vegetables, including the well known mixed salad greens, potato, apples, plums, berries, eggs, a good selection of root crops, green house produce and much more. We also have farm tea and heritage organic seeds. Visit us at the Moss Street Market in Victoria (Saturdays, 10am – 2pm, May – October) or at the farm direct (Sundays, noon – 4pm, year-round).
There are 2 greenhouses, chicken house, root cellar, workshop and a 2 suite residence.
We do need some help once in a while, if you do like to change the colour of your fingernails, this is the place to do it! Many volunteers who have an sustainable, environmental friendly outlook in life, have benefited from staying and eating with us for any length of time over the last 26 years.
